1.Shree Achyutaashrama, situated on Virupapuragaddi, can be
approached from HAMPI, a World Heritage site. One has to cross
the river Tungabhadra at Hampi and reach Virupapuragaddi. From
here, Aashrama can be reached in just 10 minutes by walk.

Hampi is in the state of Karnataka of which Bangalore is the
capital city. Hampi is in the Bellary district. Hospet in
Bellary district is just 12 km from Hampi. One can reach, by
bus or rail. One can even motor down from Hospet to Hampi
which takes 30 to 45 minutes.

Summer is very severe here, temperature crossing 44oC (108oF)
in the months of April, May and June. Rainy season is moderate
and winter months are November, December and January.
Temperature does not come below 12oC (44oF). The best months
to visit this part is from November to March.

Decent lodgings are available at Hospet. Facilities are also
available at Hampi. Cyber cafes are available at both the
places. Bank and post office are functioning in Hampi.

Visitors are advised to be extremely careful with regard to
their personal belongings while at Hospet and Hampi. Office of
the state government Touring Development Department are
functioning at both the places.

Also they can visit ASPIRATION STORES (book shop) run by very
helpful persons, known as Guthhi Brothers, at Hampi and seek
help or guidance. They are well favoured to Shree
Achyutaashrama.
