Interesting Parallels between Yogi Achyuta and Jesus Christ

 


 

  • Born to ordinary parents.

  • Born to ordinary parents.

  • Initiated by Shiva Shankaraananda, about whom nothing is known.

  • Baptised by John the Baptist, about whom not much is know.

  • He was in his late twenties or early thirties at that time.

  • He was 30 years old at that time.

  • After initiation, he practiced yoga and soon became a Yogi.

  • He was born of God and God\92s spirit descended upon him as a dove from heaven and John bore witness (St.John, 1.32, 33, 34).

  • He starts public mission when he was around 30 and ends it when he was around 54 or so.

  • He starts public mission when he was 30 and ends it when after three years he was crucified.

  • Has promised to come back and we are waiting.

  • He promised to resurrect after three years and he fulfilled it. All are waiting for his coming (St.John, 11.25, 26, 27).

  • He said, I want rest and I go. Where I am you cannot come.

  • yoga grants asana or anna that grants eternal life, is derived from nature.

  • Manna is the bread of life, which comes from heaven and which grants eternal life (St.John, 6.31, 35, 41, 45)

  • Do not eat food that perishes, but eat asana which renders man to control even death.

  • Do not labour for the food which perishes, but for the food which endures to eternal life (St.John, 6.27).

  • Jnana makes one wise and free.

  • Truth will make you free (St.John, 8.32, 35).

  • Eyes fixed at mid-point between eyebrows in yoga blesses with jyothi (divine light).

  • The eye is the lamp of the body. So, if your eye is sound, your whole body will be full of light (St.Mathew, 6.22).

  • Ask, and it will be given; seek, you will get it, knock, and it will be opened.

  • Ask, and it will be given to you; seek, and you will find; knock, and it will be opened to you. (St.Mathew, 6.7,8.).
